Normal Operation
For early build Fusion/Milan, battery junction box (BJB) fuse 44 (15A) supplies fused battery voltage to the brake pedal position switch along circuit CBP44 (VT). For all MKZ and late build Fusion/Milan, BJB fuse 49 (15A) supplies fused battery voltage to the brake pedal position switch, along circuit CBP49 (VT/GY), with the ignition switch in the RUN/START position. With the brake pedal released, the switch is closed and voltage is supplied to the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module from the switch along circuit CES09 (VT/OG). When the brake pedal is applied, the switch opens and the voltage supply is interrupted.
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit open
- Brake pedal position switch
- ABS module
