Removal and Installation

NOTE: Steering wheel removed for clarity.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the tilt release lever/handle.
  3. NOTE: Release the upper steering column shroud by pressing the sides inward.
  4. Remove the 3 screws and the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
    • To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
  5. Disconnect the 3 multi-function switch electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the 2 screws and the multi-function switch.
    • To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
