Low/Reverse Clutch Assembly: Disassembly

NOTE: Low/reverse clutch plates are installed in case during assembly procedure.
  1. Remove the roller bearing on the intermediate clutch/center support. Clean and inspect for damage.
    • If damage is indicated, a new intermediate clutch/center support assembly will be required.

  2. NOTE: Inspect the low/reverse clutch plates, friction plates and steel plates for damage. No new components are installed at this time. If new components are required, a new transmission assembly is required.
  3. Inspect the intermediate clutch plates, steel and friction for damage. If damage is indicated, a new transmission assembly will be required.
    • If no damage is indicated, the low/reverse clutch can be re-assembled.
