Selector Lever Knob: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission selector lever. For additional information, refer to TRANSMISSION SELECTOR LEVER .
  2. Using a small screwdriver, carefully lift the front of the knob bezel.
    • Do not bend the bezel.

  3. Pull down on the knob shroud and boot. Remove the knob locating screw.

  4. Carefully remove the horseshoe clip from the rear of the knob.

  5. With the horseshoe clip removed, lift up and remove the knob bezel and shift knob.

  6. NOTE: The spring may dislodge from the shift rod pocket. Locate and retain the spring for installation.

  7. Remove the spring from the top of the shift rod.
  8. Remove the electrical connector from the wiper switch pocket and disconnect the connector.

  9. Remove the shift knob assembly.
