Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the ignition coil cover bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  3. Remove the ignition coil covers.
  4. Disconnect the 8 ignition coil electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the 8 ignition coils from the spark plugs.
    • Apply silicone dielectric compound to the inside of the ignition coil boots when installing.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
