Valve Cover - RH: Installation

    NOTE: If the valve cover is not secured within 4 minutes, the sealant must be removed and the sealing area cleaned with metal surface cleaner. Allow to dry until there is no sign of wetness, or 4 minutes, whichever is longer. Failure to follow this procedure can cause future oil leakage.
  1. Install the valve cover.
    • To install, apply a minimum of 8 mm (0.32 in) diameter drop of sealant to the front cover gasket intersection.

  2. Install the 6 valve cover bolts and 4 studs.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) in the sequence shown.

  3. Connect the 2 heater hose retainers to the valve cover studs.
  4. Connect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor harness clips.
  5. Connect the PCV coolant hose.
  6. Connect the electrical connector to the PCV valve.
  7. Install the RH ignition coils. For additional information, refer to ENGINE IGNITION .
  8. Install the air cleaner assembly. For additional information, refer to FUEL CHARGING & CONTROLS .
  9. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
