Knock Sensor (KS)

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the lower intake manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE .
  3. Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector.
  4. Remove the knock sensor bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
  5. Remove the knock sensor.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
