Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the power steering reservoir and bracket. For additional information, refer to POWER STEERING .
  3. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  5. Remove the CMP sensor.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
