Compass Calibration

    NOTE: For optimum calibration, drive to an open, level location away from large metallic objects or structures. Switch off all non-essential electrical accessories (rear window defrost, heater, A/C, map lamps and wipers) and make sure all doors are shut.

  1. Press and hold the COMP button until C or CAL is displayed (six seconds). Release the COMP button.
  2. Drive the vehicle at less than 8 km/h (5 mph) in a continuous circle until the compass heading is shown.
  3. If the C or CAL message does not turn off within five circles, demagnetize the vehicle. Refer to VEHICLE DEMAGNETIZING .
