  • INSTALL new batteries. If concern is still present, REPLACE the remote. If concern is still present, REPLACE the DVD unit. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system does not operate correctly - Disc cannot be played ("Reading", "No Disc" or "The region coding of this disc does not match that of the player" displayed on screen).
  • Disc.

  • CHECK the disc for scratches, fingerprints, debris or other damage.
  • CHECK the disc for a loose or peeling label.
  • CHECK the disc and make sure it is a region 1 disc.
  • INSTALL a known good disc and TEST the system for normal operation. If concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD unit. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system does not operate correctly - Distorted picture, picture freezes or skips
  • Disc.
  • DVD unit.
  • CHECK the disc for scratches, fingerprints, debris or other damage.
  • CHECK the disc for a loose or peeling label.
  • INSTALL a known good disc and TEST the system for normal operation. If concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD unit. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system does not operate correctly - No picture
  • Disc.
  • Circuitry.
  • DVD unit.
  • PRESS the source button (screen is blank in Auxiliary mode with no video source connected). TEST the system for normal operation. If concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD unit. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system doe not operate correctly - Disc will not eject
  • Disc.
  • DVD unit.
  • PRESS the eject button (on the DVD player) if the remote has failed.
  • If disc does not eject, TURN the unit off and back on and retry. If the concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD unit. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system does not operate correctly - No speaker audio (while operating the video system)
  • Circuitry.
  • DVD unit.
  • For no audio, PRESS the speaker button and increase the volume on the audio unit and the DVD player. If still no sound, PRESS the source button (no sound in Auxiliary mode without an audio device connected). TEST the system for normal operation.
  • If the concern is still present, turn the system off and then back on, TEST the system for normal operation.
  • If concern is still present, INSTALL a new DVD unit REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
  • The video system does not operate correctly - Poor sound when using video system
  • Circuitry.
  • DVD unit.
  • CONNECT headphones to the system. If the sound from the headphones is the same as the vehicle audio unit system, INSTALL a new DVD unit. REFER to DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC (DVD) PLAYER . TEST the system for normal operation.
