Information And Message Center: Notes

The message center display is a green vacuum fluorescent, dot matrix display. The message center is located in the overhead console.

Some of the features in the message center include compass, homelink, oil minder and parking aid.

The message center displays the following normal modes:

• compass
• oil life status
• blank

The MODE button will scroll through the normal modes.

The RESET button is used to acknowledge a warning or for submenu options.

A system warning will display for oil minder, parking aid and alarm system related warnings. A higher priority active warning message will overwrite the lower priority message. Press the RESET button to acknowledge the warning. The warning message is cleared and a normal mode message or another warning message will be displayed.

• The parking aid de-activation can not be cleared by the RESET button and will remain displayed until the system is re-activated.
• The oil minder has two-level warnings, both cleared by the RESET button, but the critical one returns on the display after a period of time (if the condition is still active).
• The alarm system warnings will be displayed on power up and can be cleared by the RESET button.
