SYMPTOM CHART

Condition Possible Sources Action
No communication with the rear electronic module
  • Circuitry.
  • Rear electronic module (REM).
REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
The stoplamps are inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Brake pedal position (BPP) switch.
  • Interactive vehicle dynamics (IVD) module (if equipped).
  • Rear electronic module (REM).
Go To PINPOINT TEST M .
One or more stoplamps are inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • High mounted stoplamp.
  • Rear electronic module (REM).
Go To PINPOINT TEST N .
The stoplamps are on continuously
  • Circuitry.
  • BPP switch.
  • Rear electronic module (REM).
  • Anti-lock brake system (ABS) module.
  • Interactive vehicle dynamics (IVD) module (if equipped).
  • Electric parking brake module.
  • Powertrain control module.
