Possible Causes

When placing the range selector lever in a selected gear (P, R, N, D, or (D)) and the transmission is not in the corresponding gear for what was selected, the cause could be:

• Shift linkage out of adjustment
• Worn or broken shift cable
• Wiring, terminals or connectors
