Transmission Range Sensor: Installation

Install the TR sensor and loosely install the bolts. Manual shift lever shaft must be in the Neutral position. Using the special tool, align the TR sensor slots. See Figure . The TR sensor adjuster is designed to fit snugly. Tighten the bolts to specification and remove the TR sensor adjuster. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . With the manual lever in overdrive, connect the shift cable. Connect the TR sensor harness connector. Lower the vehicle. Connect the negative battery cable.
