Lower Control Arm: Installation

  1. Position lower control arm. Install NEW caster adjustment cam bolt and NEW nut. Ensure that bolt is installed from rear, with cam lobe facing down. Cam must be seated between cam guides on No. 1 crossmember. DO NOT fully tighten nut at this time.
  2. Install NEW camber adjustment cam bolt and NEW nut. Ensure bolt is installed from rear, with cam lobe facing down. Cam must be seated between cam guides on No. 2 crossmember. DO NOT fully tighten nut at this time.
  3. Install tapered washer onto ball joint before connecting lower control arm onto knuckle. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Replace all fasteners. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Check wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES articles in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
