Test F: Memory Mirror Inoperative

  1. Ensure vehicle in Park. Operate both mirror through all positions. If both mirrors operate properly, go to next step. If both mirrors do not operate properly, repair mirrors as necessary. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table.
  2. Activate both mirror memory positions from instrument panel message center (DRIVER ID button). If both memory positions operate at message center, go to next step. If both memory position do not operate at message center, perform TEST D: MIRROR OPERATES IN ONE SECOND INTERVALS  .
  3. Enter keyless entry code on keyless entry keypad and within one second press the 1/2 button for memory position one or the 3/4 button for memory position 2 on keyless entry keypad. If both memory positions operate from keypad, go to next step. If either memory position does not operate from keypad, repair remote keyless entry system.   4. NOTE: Only 2 remote transmitters can be programmed for memory feature. Depending which transmitter is used will determine which memory position should be obtained.
  5. Unlock vehicle with both remote transmitter that have memory programed in them. If both memory positions operate from transmitters, system is okay at this time. If either memory position does not operate from transmitter, repair remote keyless entry system. See POWER DOOR LOCKS & REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article.
