Description & Operation

Power memory seat/mirror system allows 2 seat/mirror positions to be programmed into memory. Seat and outside mirrors will automatically move to preset position(s) by pressing button 1 or 2. Mirrors and seat will not operate unless transmission is in Park or Neutral.

Optional inside electronic dimming rear view mirror is controlled by 2 light-sensitive photocells. Outside light level is measured by a sensor on backside of mirror housing. A second sensor, located on reflective side of mirror, detects approaching rear lights. Mirror switches to normal state whenever transmission gear selector is placed in Reverse. Driver's side outside rear view mirror is available with a similar glare reduction system as an option.

Power side view mirror system consists of mirror head with integral servo motor assembly. Memory mirror is controlled by Driver's Door Module (DDM) and Driver's Seat Module (DSM). Both glass and servo can be replaced separately. Mirrors come equipped with automatic Reverse function. When gear selector is placed in Reverse, driver's side view mirror tilts down 3 degrees, and passenger's side view mirror tilts down 5 1/2 degrees, to improve visibility of rear bumper area. This function can be disabled using message center, or pressing outside rear view mirror control switch. Once gear selector is shifted out of Reverse, side view mirrors will return to original setting.
