Test B: No Communication With Driver's Seat Module
- Remove and inspect fuse No. 30 (7.5-amp) from instrument panel fuse box. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, perform TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE .
- Measure voltage at input cavity of fuse No. 30 at instrument panel fuse box. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, perform TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE .
- Install fuse No. 30. Disconnect Driver's Seat Module (DSM) harness connector C313. Measure voltage at terminal No. 14 (Light Green/Violet wire) at DSM harness connector C313. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Light Green/Violet wire.
- Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 1 (Pink/Orange wire) at DSM harness connector C313. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, diagnosis network concern. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - TOWN CAR article. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink/Orange wire between DSM and ground.
