Test B: Defogger Does Not Turn Off Automatically
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove rear window defogger relay, located in Battery Junction Box (BJB). Measure resistance between ground and rear window defogger relay connector terminal No. 85 (Gray/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to step 3 .
- Disconnect Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) module Black connector. EATC module is located in center of instrument panel. Measure resistance between ground and rear window defogger relay connector terminal No. 85 (Gray/Light Blue wire). If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair short to ground in Gray/Light Blue wire. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, replace EATC module.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and rear window defogger relay connector terminal No. 87 (Brown/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Brown/Light Blue wire. If voltage does not exist, replace rear window defogger relay. Retest system.
