Test K: Set/ACCEL Switch Is Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using NGS tester, monitor speed control servo PID SET/ACCEL while pressing and releasing speed control SET/ACCEL switch and rotating steering wheel. If NGS tester does not indicate ACTIVE with speed control SET/ACCEL switch pressed and NOTACT with speed control SET/ACCEL switch released, go to next step. If NGS tester indicates ACTIVE with speed control SET/ACCEL switch pressed and NOTACT with speed control SET/ACCEL switch released, system is okay at this time.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect speed control servo harness connector C123 (located in left rear of engine compartment). Measure resistance between terminals No. 5 (Light Blue/Black wire) and No. 6 (Dark Green/Orange wire) at speed control servo harness connector C123 while pressing speed control SET/ACCEL switch and rotating steering wheel. See Figure . Resistance should be 612-748 ohms with SET/ACCEL switch pressed and greater than 10 k/ohms with SET/ACCEL switch not pressed. If resistance is as specified, replace speed control servo. If resistance is not as specified, replace speed control switch.
