Trouble Shooting

NOTE: Ensure speedometer and horn systems are operating properly before testing speed control system.

Verify customer complaint by operating speed control system. Check for damaged or binding servo/actuator cable and incorrect servo/actuator cable adjustment. Check for damaged throttle lever. Check for blown fuses and replace as necessary. Check for loose or corroded connections. Check for damaged wiring harness and damaged switches. Verify horn and stoplights function properly. Repair as necessary. Inspect actuator and throttle linkage for smooth operation. Unbind as necessary. If no problems are found, go to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
