Digital Transmission Range Sensor

CAUTION: On models equipped with 4R70W, discard outer manual control lever shaft nut. Do not reuse. The old nut will not retain torque specification.
  1. Place gearshift lever in Neutral position. Remove shift cable from manual control lever. Remove manual control lever. Loosen Transmission Range (TR) sensor retaining bolts.
  2. Install TR Sensor Adjustor (307-351). See Fig 1 . Tighten TR sensor retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install manual control lever, and tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Check for Park gear engagement. Start engine and ensure indicated gear positions match transmission response.
