Before performing individual component tests or diagnostic tests, verify customer concern by operating power mirror system. Ensure battery is fully charged. Visually inspect for obvious sign of mechanical and electrical damage. Check all fuses. Check for damaged wiring harness and/or loose, corroded connections. Check for damage to switches, mirror assemblies and mirror motors. Repair as necessary. If cause of fault is not evident and vehicle does not have memory mirrors, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS. If cause of fault is not evident and vehicle has memory mirrors, perform self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
