Trouble Shooting

NOTE: Manufacturer refers to light sensor amplifier as autolamp module.

Verify customers complaint by operating autolamp system. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage. Check all fuses in central junction box and battery junction box. Check for damage to wiring harnesses, and loose or corroded connectors. Check for damage to switches, headlight bulbs, headlight relay, Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) relays No. 1 & 2 (if equipped), DRL jumper (if equipped), Central Security Module/Remote Anti-Theft Personality (CSM/RAP) module (if equipped), autolamp module and proper mounting of autolamp module. If visual damage exists, repair as necessary. If visual damage does not exist and diagnostic trouble codes are not logged, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS.
