Test 5: Traction Control Is Inoperative
- Connect scan tool. Retrieve and record continuous DTCs. If any DTCs are retrieved, see STABILITY ASSIST MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE INDEX table under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If DTCs are not retrieved, go to next step.
- Test drive vehicle. Perform several anti-lock stops. If ABS operates properly, go to next step. If ABS does not operate properly, see SYMPTOM INDEX table under SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABCM connector (C155). Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ABCM connector terminal No. 9 (White/Violet wire) and ground. If voltage is present, go to next step. If voltage is not present, replace ABCM.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCS switch connector (C308). Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ABCM connector terminal No. 9 (White/Violet wire) and ground. If voltage is present, repair White/Violet wire. If voltage is not present, replace TCS switch.
