Test C: No Communication With Driver's Door Module (DDM)

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM) 12-pin harness connector C501a. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between DDM 12-pin harness connector C501a terminal No. 11 (Orange/Blue wire) and ground. See Figure . Measure voltage between DDM 12-pin harness connector C501a terminal No. 12 (Orange/Blue wire) and ground. If voltages are greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If any voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in appropriate Orange/Blue wire and retest system operation.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between DDM 12-pin harness connector C501a terminal No. 7 (Brown/Blue wire) and ground. Measure resistance between DDM 12-pin harness connector C501a terminal No. 8 (Black/Orange wire) and ground. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, repair module communications concern. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - LS article. If any resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in appropriate wire and retest system operation.
