Test H: Memory Set Switch Led Malfunction
- Operate memory set switch. If memory set switch LED is not always on, go to next step. If memory set switch LED is always on, go to step 6 .
- Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM) 26-pin harness connector C501D. Measure resistance between ground and DDM harness connector C501D terminal No. 7 (Yellow wire). See Figure . If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to step 4 .
- Disconnect memory set switch 6-pin harness connector C503. Measure resistance between ground and DDM harness connector C501D terminal No. 7 (Yellow wire). If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, replace memory set switch. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Yellow wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Connect a fused (5-amp) jumper between battery voltage and DDM harness connector C501D terminal No. 7 (Yellow wire). See Figure . If memory set switch LED does not illuminate, go to next step. If memory set switch LED illuminates, replace DDM.
- Disconnect memory set switch 6-pin harness connector C503. Measure resistance of Yellow wire between memory switch harness connector C503 terminal No. 5 and DDM harness connector C501D terminal No. 7. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace memory set switch. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in Yellow wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM) 26-pin harness connector C501D. If memory set switch LED does not go out, go to next step. If memory set switch LED goes out, replace DDM.
- Disconnect memory set switch 6-pin harness connector C503. Measure voltage between ground and memory set switch harness connector C503 terminal No. 5 (Yellow wire). See Figure . If any voltage exists, repair short to power in Yellow wire. If no voltage exists, replace memory set switch.
