Test A: No Communication With Front Electronics Module (Fem)
NOTE:
Cycle ignition switch from LOCK to RUN position to enable Switched System Power (SSP) feature.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect FEM 12-pin harness connector C201C. Disconnect FEM 20-pin harness connector C210F. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and FEM harness connector C201C terminal No. 6 (Orange/Green wire). See Fig 1 . Measure voltage between ground and FEM harness connector C201F terminal No. 1 (Orange/Yellow wire). See Fig 2 . If more than 10 volts exists at both terminals, go to next step. If 10 volts or less exists at either terminal, repair open in appropriate wire.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect FEM 17-pin harness connector C201A. Measure resistance between ground and FEM harness connector terminals as specified. See FEM TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION
table. See Fig 1
and Fig 3
. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, see
MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - LS article to diagnose network fault. If any resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
