Test A: No Communication With Front Electronics Module (Fem)

NOTE: Cycle ignition switch from LOCK to RUN position to enable Switched System Power (SSP) feature.
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect FEM 12-pin harness connector C201C. Disconnect FEM 20-pin harness connector C210F. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and FEM harness connector C201C terminal No. 6 (Orange/Green wire). See Fig 1 . Measure voltage between ground and FEM harness connector C201F terminal No. 1 (Orange/Yellow wire). See Fig 2 . If more than 10 volts exists at both terminals, go to next step. If 10 volts or less exists at either terminal, repair open in appropriate wire.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect FEM 17-pin harness connector C201A. Measure resistance between ground and FEM harness connector terminals as specified. See FEM TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION  table. See Fig 1 and Fig 3 . If resistances are less than 5 ohms, see MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - LS article to diagnose network fault. If any resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
