Comprehensive Component Monitor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mercury Villager. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The comprehensive component monitor is a self-test strategy within PCM that detects faults of any electronic powertrain component or system that provides input to PCM and is not exclusively an input to any other OBD-II monitor.
