Test B: No Communication With Driver's Seat Module

  1. Check fuse No. 39 (10-amp) in instrument panel fuse box. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, perform TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE  .
  2. Measure voltage at input side of fuse No. 39 at instrument panel fuse box. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, perform TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE  .
  3. Install fuse No. 39. Disconnect DSM harness connector C342. Measure voltage at terminal No. 14 (Black/White wire) at DSM harness connector C342. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Black/White wire.
  4. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 1 (Black/Light Green wire) at DSM harness connector C342. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, repair module communication concern. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - CONTINENTAL article. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black/Light Green wire.
