Power Window Master Switch

  1. Remove master switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check continuity between master window switch connector C509 terminals No. 1 and 2 in all switch positions. See Fig 1 . If there is continuity in any position, replace switch. If there is no continuity, go to next step.
  2. With master window switch at rest, check continuity between master window switch connector C509 terminals No. 1, 3, 4, 6 and 7. Check continuity between master window switch connector C510 terminals No. 4, 5, 6 and 7. If there is no continuity between any specified terminals, replace switch. If there is continuity between all specified terminals, go to next step.
  3. Check continuity between appropriate master window switch connector and terminals with switch in appropriate position. See MASTER SWITCH TESTING  table. If continuity is not as specified, replace switch.
