Test G

  1. With ignition on, engine off, inspect appropriate fuses and/or fusible links. See FUSE IDENTIFICATION  table. Replace as necessary. If okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between generator test point "F" and ground. See Fig 1. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, replace generator. See GENERATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check system operation.

  3. Start engine and run at 2000 RPM. Measure battery voltage and observe charge warning indicator. If battery voltage increases to greater than 15.5 volts or indicator flickers, replace generator. See GENERATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check system operation. If battery voltage is 15.5 volts or less and indicator does not flicker, repair Yellow/White wire and check system operation. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
