Test M: Traction Control Cannot Be Disabled
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect traction control switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between traction control switch connector Black/White wire terminal and ground. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not more than 10 volts, repair Black/White wire circuit. Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system.
- Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between traction control switch component pins while depressing switch. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, install new traction control switch. Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system.
- Turn ignition off. Connect Breakout Box. Measure resistance between Breakout Box pin No. 5 and traction control switch connector Gray wire terminal. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, install new HCU. Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, repair Gray wire circuit. Restore vehicle, clear DTCs and retest system.
