Test V: Driver Seat AUTOGLIDE Does Not Work Properly
NOTE:
Connector C354 is a 3-terminal connector. Identify connector by wire color. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
.
- Test Seat Operation - Operate driver seat in all directions. If driver seat operates smoothly and completely in all directions, go to next step. If seat does not operate smoothly and completely in all directions, repair driver seat. See SYMPTOM CHART under SYSTEM TESTING.
- Test PID AGLIDEF - Connect NGS tester to data link connector. Access driver seat module PID AGLIDEF. Move driver seat back forward and rearward, while observing NGS tester display. If NGS tester displays ACTIVE, go to step 5). If NGS tester does not display ACTIVE, go to next step.
- Test Black/Light Blue Wire For Open - Disconnect driver seat back switch harness connector C354. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 2 (Black/Light Blue wire) at driver seat back switch harness connector C354. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black/Light Blue wire.
- Test Dark Green/Orange Wire For Open - Disconnect driver seat module harness connector C350. Measure resistance in Dark Green/Orange wire between terminal No. 4 at driver seat module harness connector C350 and terminal No. 1 at driver seat back switch harness connector C354. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Dark Green/Orange wire.
- Test PID AGLIDER - Connect driver seat module and driver seat control switch harness connectors. Access driver seat module PID AGLIDER. Move driver seat back rearward, while observing NGS tester display. If NGS tester display did not read ACTIVE, go to next step. If NGS tester display read ACTIVE, replace driver seat module.
- Test Dark Blue/Yellow Wire For Open - Disconnect driver seat module harness connector C350. Measure resistance in Dark Blue/Yellow wire between terminal No. 5 at driver seat module harness connector C350 and terminal No. 3 at driver seat back switch harness connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, driver seat back switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Dark Blue/Yellow wire.
