Test E: AUTOLOCK Does Not Operate Properly

  1. Check message center DRIVER SETTINGS menu to verify autolock is not turned OFF. If autolock is turned ON, go to next step. If autolock is turned OFF, turn autolock ON through message center.
  2. Using NGS tester, perform driver's door module SELF-TEST. If DTCs U1041, U1059, U1135 or U1199 are not retrieved, go to next step. If DTCs U1041, U1059, U1135 or U1199 are retrieved, go to appropriate article. See DTC DEFINITIONS TABLE (DRIVER DOOR MODULE)  under SYSTEM TESTING.
  3. Using NGS tester, access driver's door module active command DOOR LOCK CONTROL. Trigger LOCK on. Trigger UNLOCK on. If doors lock and unlock, replace driver's door module. If doors do not lock and unlock, repair power door lock system. See DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK RELEASE - POWER article.
