Brake Booster Assembly: Installation

  1. Position booster against firewall. Install mounting nuts. Tighten booster-to-firewall nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install NEW "O" ring into groove in master cylinder. Ensure "O" ring is seated properly. Position master cylinder onto mounting studs. Tighten master cylinder-to-booster nuts to specification. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
  3. Tighten master cylinder fittings to specification. Fill reservoir with DOT 3 brake fluid. Bleed brake systems. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Operate brake several times. Check for leaks.
