Warning Indicator Normal

  1. Check for DTC(s)

    Retrieve any stored DTC(s). If any DTC(s) are stored, service in numerical order. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  . If no DTC(s) are stored, go to next step.
  2. Check ABS Operation

    Road test vehicle. If ABS operates properly, go to next step. If ABS does not operate properly, see ABS SYMPTOM/TEST INDEX  under DIAGNOSIS to continue diagnosis.
  3. Check Driver Setting

    Press message center vehicle setting switch until message center displays TRACTION CONTROL. If message center does not display TRACTION CONTROL OFF, go to next step. If message center displays TRACTION CONTROL OFF, enable traction control and retest system.
  4. Check Stoplight Switch

    Disconnect ABS control module connector. Connect Breakout Box (014-00322) and ABS Adapter (T90P-50-ALA). Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between breakout box terminals No. 8 and 12. If any voltage is indicated, replace stoplight switch. If no voltage is indicated, replace HCU. After repair, retest system.
