Test H: Left Mirror Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Set NGS tester to DDM PID MIR_SEL. Move mirror switch to L (left) position. Use mirror control switch to tilt mirror up. If PID MIR_SEL reads DRIVER, go to step 3). If PID MIR_SEL does not read DRIVER, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Disconnect DDM connector C456. Check voltage between connector C456 terminal No. 21 (Dark Blue/Orange wire) and terminal No. 10 (Yellow/Black wire). Move mirror switch to L (left) position. Use mirror control switch to tilt mirror up. If battery voltage exists, replace DDM and retest. If battery voltage does not exist, replace mirror switch and retest.
  3. Reconnect DDM connector C456. Turn ignition on. Perform DSM Self Test. If DTC U1180, U1181 or U1194 exist, see the SEATS - POWER article. If DTC U1180, U1181 or U1194 do not exist, replace DSM and retest.
