DTC U1181: SCP Invalid Or Missing Data For Personalization Features

  1. Turn ignition on. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Perform Data Link Diagnostic Test. See DDM TROUBLESHOOTING in SEATS - POWER article. If test indicates NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED, go to SYSTEM TEST D  . If test does not indicate NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Clear DSM codes. Retrieve DSM continuous codes. Turn ignition on and wait 5 seconds. If DTC U1181 returns, replace DDM and retest. If no code returns, system is okay.
