Ignition Switch: Removal

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the positive battery cable. Disable the air bag system. Refer to procedures under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Remove upper and lower shroud(s). See Figure . Remove tilt lever (if equipped). Disconnect ignition switch electrical connector. Turn lock cylinder to RUN position. Remove ignition switch mounting screws. Remove switch.
