Pinpoint Test B - Doors Do Not Lock Or Unlock From Remote Transmitter

  1. Sit in vehicle. Attempt to operate locks from switches. If locks operate properly, go to next step. If any lock does not operate properly, go to DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK RELEASE - POWER article.
  2. Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. Within 5 seconds, press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter. If doors unlock, go to next step. If doors do not unlock, go to step 8).
  3. Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. If doors do not lock, go to next step. If doors lock, go to step 5).
  4. Manually unlock all doors. Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. Within 5 seconds, press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter. If passenger's door and driver's door respond in the same way, repair Pink/Black wire from 18-pin DDM connector, pin No. 8 to door lock actuators. If passenger's door and driver's door do not respond in the same way, repair Pink/Black wire from appropriate door lock actuator.
  5. Press LOCK button on remote transmitter. Within 5 seconds, press trunk release button on remote transmitter. If trunk unlocks, go to next step. If trunk does not unlock, go to step 9).
  6. Press ALARM button twice. If alarm sounds, go to next step. If alarm does not sound, go to step 10).
  7. Connect and operate NGS tester following manufacturer's instructions. Press UNLOCK button on remote transmitter. Retrieve last remote transmitter data. If display indicates unlock signal was received, temporarily substitute known-good DDM, then retest system. If display indicates no unlock signal was received, program replacement transmitter to vehicle. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER  under PROGRAMMING.
  8. Connect and operate NGS tester following manufacturer's instructions. Press trunk release button on remote transmitter. Retrieve last remote transmitter data. If display indicates trunk lid signal was received, go to PINPOINT TEST K  . If display indicates no trunk lid signal was received, program replacement transmitter to vehicle. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER  under PROGRAMMING.
  9. Connect and operate NGS tester following manufacturer's instructions. Press ALARM button on remote transmitter. Retrieve last remote transmitter data. If display indicates alarm signal was received, go to ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM article. If display indicates no trunk lid signal was received, program replacement transmitter to vehicle. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER  under PROGRAMMING.
