Test P: Abs Sensor Check

With NGS scan tester connected to Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC), start engine and allow to idle. Enter scan tester diagnostic modes as follows:

• Enter DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
• Enter ABS - ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE.
• Enter ACTIVE COMMAND MODES.
• Enter ABS OUTPUT CONTROL.

Choose PID monitoring by pressing PID soft key (No. 7). Select LFWSPD, RFWSPD, LRWSPD and RRWSPD (wheel speed) PIDs. Press START. Using an assistant, drive vehicle at 3-5 MPH. If all wheel speeds are more than zero MPH, system is okay. Testing is complete. If any wheel(s) speed is zero, check anti-lock sensor installation. If installation is okay, replace sensor.
