Pinpoint Test F - Brake Warning Light On
- Ensure brake fluid level is okay. If brake fluid level is low, check for external leak and repair as necessary. If brake fluid level is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect 3-pin fluid level sensor connector from master cylinder reservoir cap. Check for continuity between sensor pins No. 1 and 3. See Fig 1 . If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, replace master cylinder reservoir cap.
- Check continuity between pin No. 2 (Purple/White wire) of reservoir cap harness connector and ground. If continuity exists, repair circuit No. 977 (Purple/White wire). If continuity does not exist, verify BRAKE warning light is still on.
