Pinpoint Test F - Memory Mirrors Cannot Be Programmed

  1. Memory Mirror System Voltage Check  - Partially remove memory mirror module. Using test light, backprobe Orange wire terminal of memory mirror module Black connector. See Figure . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open Orange wire. Retest system.
  2. Ignition Input Check At Module  - Turn ignition on. Using test light, backprobe Red/Light Blue wire terminal of memory mirror module Gray connector. See Figure . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open Red/Light Blue wire. Retest system.
  3. Circuit Check At Memory Mirror Module  - Check resistance between Black wire terminal of memory mirror module Black connector and ground. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. Retest system.
  4. Input Check At Module  - Check voltage at White/Orange wire terminal of memory mirror module Gray connector. See Figure . If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open White/Orange wire. Retest system.
  5. Memory Switch Input To Module Test  - Connect voltmeter to Brown/Light Green wire terminal of memory mirror module Gray connector. See Figure . At driver's door front trim panel, press set button of memory seat regulator control. Within 5 seconds, press button No. 1 and read voltage. If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace memory mirror module and retest system.
  6. Memory Switch Input Circuits Check  - Turn ignition off. Unplug memory mirror module Gray connector. See Figure . Remove left memory seat regulator control. Check continuity of Brown/Light Green wire and Black/Orange wire between memory switch connector and 16-pin connector (Gray). If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace mirror memory seat regulator control. Retest system. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open Brown/Light Green wire and/or Black/Orange wire. Retest system.
