Pinpoint Test D (DTC B1342) - VAP Module Check

  1. Start engine and allow to idle. Check message center for CHECK RIDE CONTROL or CHECK STEERING ASSIST message. If either or both messages are present, go to next step. If message(s) is not present, road test vehicle and go to next step.
  2. Repeat self-test. Retrieve all DTCs including continuous DTCs. If DTC B1342 is still present, replace VAPS module. If DTC B1342 is not present, fault cannot be duplicated at this time. Testing is complete.
