Test L - "Traction Control Off" Switch
- Check Traction Control Switch
Turn ignition off. Disconnect 28-pin connector from ECU. ECU is located below HCU. Connect Breakout Box (014-00322) and ABS Adapter (007-00116) to ECU wiring harness connector. Turn ignition on. DO NOT
press traction control off switch. Measure voltage between breakout box pins No. 13 and 18. If battery voltage is present, go to step 6). If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Leave ignition on. Press traction control off switch. Measure voltage between breakout box pins No. 13 and 18. If battery voltage is present, system is okay. Testing is complete. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Leave ignition on. Check for battery voltage at traction control switch socket. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check fuse No. 5. If fuse is okay, repair circuit No. 640 (Red/Yellow wire).
- Check continuity between switch terminals when switch is pressed. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, replace traction control off switch.
- Check continuity between switch Gray wire switch terminal and breakout box pin No. 18. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair circuit No. 959 (Gray wire).
- Check continuity between terminals when switch IS NOT pressed. If continuity is present, replace traction control off switch. If continuity is not present, replace traction control off switch.
