Retrieving Codes
NOTE:
A New Generation Star (NGS) tester is required for testing the power mirror system.
Before beginning any testing, retrieve any existing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from Driver Door Module (DDM) and Driver Seat Module (DSM). See ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST in the MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article. Make any repairs that may be indicated. See appropriate PINPOINT TESTS. If symptoms remain, or if no DTCs exist, see POWER MIRROR SYMPTOMS table, then go to appropriate PINPOINT TEST. If any DTC begins with letter "U", see MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.
