Pinpoint Test JJ
- Observe EIC display. If high beam indicator is never on, go to next step. If high beam indicator is always on, go to step 3).
- Turn ignition off. Remove EIC. See, under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION, ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (EIC) R & I . Check for continuity between EIC flex connector pins No. 7 (Gray/White wire) and No. 3 (Black wire). If continuity exists, repair Gray/White wire to daytime running lights jumper, located in front of left front fender, and/or Light Green/Black wire between daytime running lights jumper and headlights. If continuity does not exist, replace high beam indicator bulb.
- Set light switch to low beam position, and main light switch off. If high beams are on, replace light switch, or repair short to voltage on Light Green/Black wire. If high beams are not on, check for short to voltage on Gray/White wire between daytime running lights module or daytime running lights module jumper and EIC. Replace daytime running lights module (if equipped).
