Pinpoint Test BB

  1. Turn ignition off. Unplug connector between window regulator wiring harness and main wiring harness, behind dash on right side. Turn ignition on. Observe digital fuel gauge. If CS appears, go to next step. If CO appears, repair wiring in harness or fuel sender. Fuel sender resistance should be 14-163 ohms.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove EIC. See, under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION, ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (EIC) R & I  . Check for continuity between EIC C2 connector pins No. 2 (Yellow/White wire) and 4 (Pink/Orange wire) connector. If continuity does not exist, replace EIC. If continuity exists, repair short circuit in harness.
