Pinpoint Test BA

  1. Turn ignition off. Locate junction between window regulator wiring harness and main wiring harness, behind dash on right side. Unplug connector containing circuit No. 29 (Yellow/White wire). Connect jumper from circuit No. 29 (Yellow/White wire) of main harness to ground. Turn ignition on. Observe digital fuel gauge. If CO appears, go to next step. If CS appears, repair wiring in harness or check fuel sender. Fuel sender resistance should be 14-163 ohms.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove EIC. See, under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION, ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (EIC) R & I  . Measure resistance between EIC connector pins No. 2 (Yellow/White wire) and 4 (Pink/Orange wire). If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in circuit. Replace EIC if resistance is less than 5 ohms. See Fig 1 .
